| CFOR facilitates community dialogue for violence prevention,
social inclusion and creative community leadership within organisations,
communities and societies in the UK, the Balkans, in Europe and
internationally. Its activities focus on underlying conflicts
and potential for creative cooperation in multicultural forums
concerning European,national and ethnic identity; post-war reconciliation
and conflict prevention; training in facilitation for leaders;
arts, research and publications. |

SEEDS
- ‘From
Seed to Fulfilment: Creating our Future' supported
by EU Grundtvig, London May 10 – 14 2010. An international
group of 45 participants from 20 countries focused on how each
individual creates our collective future, and how our collective
history shapes our current interactions. We worked with personal
projects and on transforming Europe's violent history, discovering
new patterns of leadership, awareness and relating to one another.

- We are eager to further the Seeds programme.180
people contacted us about taking part in the recent event and
more is being planned.
FACILITATION FOR LEADERS
- What an extraordinary group - we completed the last of the four
modules of our 2009-2010 ‘Facilitation
for Leaders’ programme. The next course will begin
in March 2011. Applications start October 2010.
EUROPE MATTERS
Next steps:
- Europe Matters forums: Future
locations in discussions with colleagues: Kiev/Ukraine (see below),
Sarajevo/Bosnia and Vukovar/Croatia.
- A series of forums with training about attitudes and policies
towards migration, ‘Migration Matters’ -
with EMF European Multicultural Foundation and several partners.

- 2009-2010 – This programme in
partnership with Udruga Mi, UNHCR and EIDHR European Instrument
for Democracy and Human Rights meets among people making a difference
in ‘areas of state concern’, strongly affected by
the war and post-war period. Our June forum in Slijme/Zagreb
with 65 participants was tremendously inspiring to everyone present.
- The UNHCR/ EU programme includes writing a handbook, a model
for how to intervene to bring emotional and economic recovery
and violence prevention in post-conflict regions, based on our
work in the last 15 years.
- 2010-2011 - with UNHCR and Udruga Mi, CFOR is providing a 3 modular Facilitation for Leaders training course with NGOs, international organizations and local authorities.
CFOR in the wider Balkan Region / South East Europe
- With UNHCR, developing new models for wider region, concerning returning refugees, local communities, post-war issues, community sustainability and violence prevention.
- Regional forums are under discussion for individuals and organizations in the Balkan Region
